I am starting to get bored with this whole thing. The morning was very disheartening. We had lots of accidents and despite what seemed like hours sitting on the potty, there was nothing to show for it. He was really good about stopping his play and sitting nicely. I was proud of him for that because it's been a little bit of a battle the past few days. I started setting the microwave timer. When it beeped, he knew it was time to take a potty break!
After his nap I told him that if he went potty on his potty seat he could go outside and play with his water table. Wouldn't you know, that did the trick! I don't know if it is because he loves to play outside with the water, or if it was just coincidence, but I was happy with the result either way. So at least now I can say he went one time in the potty today. It's not good, but it's better then nothing.
I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments, knowing that I'm not alone in this endeavor. Thanks for your support everybody! I will hope for better news to share with you tomorrow. I don't want to let you down!
Moral of day 4: This is more difficult than I anticipated. I actually thought it would be easy! Ha, ha, ha!
This has nothing to do with potty training, but I find a need to put a picture with every post.

I know it can be discouraging at times, but you'll get through.
It's been a little fun to be (mostly) on the other side of potty training my first and reading your blog. Here's hoping that we gain wisdom with our firstborn and the following kids are easier... although something tells me it isn't true.
How cool--the water table from us did the trick! ::Happy dance:: Maybe it was just you saying "water" that made him have to go. ;)
