Pregnant Picnicing

Whenever the weather is nice, and often when it isn't, Tyler asks me if we can have a picnic outside. Today was perfect picnic weather - not too hot, not too cold, not too windy, and no bugs. There was no way I could refuse a picnic with my little boy. The problem came when I, being 35 weeks pregnant and very big, decided I could fit at a toddler picnic table 2 inches off the ground. It just doesn't work. There was no room for the tummy at all, even sideways. I didn't even know I could still squat down in positions that low to the ground. If we try picnicing again in the near future, I will either need a grown up picnic table with plenty of tummy room, or I will be standing. It's just too painful any other way. The good news is that I probably ate a lot less than I would have had the food been able to flow properly and I not been in a tiny ball with my knees up way too high and my stomach smooshed against the edge of the table. Tyler had a great time.
