Tyler likes to sort socks. He will pull each one out and tell me who it belongs to. When he finds a Tyler sock, his voice becomes more high pitched.
Today we went to visit Grandpa while our house was being shown. He wanted to turn on a toy bus because he noticed that when he pushed the buttons nothing happened. I told him it needed batteries. Grandpa asked what kind. I told him it would be too much effort because we would need to get out a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Tyler must have been listening to the conversation, because he went to his wooden tool box and got out a screwdriver. He sat down with the bus, turned it over, and attempted to unscrew the battery door with his little wooden screwdriver.
I continue to be amazed by his brilliance.

Such a smartie ; )
Just wait, from now on if something doesn't make a noise when he thinks it should, he will inform you that it needs batteries. They pick up on that one really quick! His brilliance will amaze you every single day for the next many years - isn't that a great thing to look forward to?
