Lots of Daddy Time

Tyler got lots of Daddy time in this weekend. I spent Saturday painting the playroom. As you might imagine, it's difficult to paint a room and watch a baby at the same time. Todd volunteered to watch Tyler, so I got to paint. I definitely think he got the better deal. Every time I paint, I forget how hard it is! It's physically painful. By the time you're finished, every muscle aches. But it sure looks pretty when it's done! Now it's a happy yellow, perfect for playing in. My dad is making cubbies to store toys in. I'm so excited about how it's all coming together.

On Sunday, Todd watched Tyler again after church so I could go out with my mom and do some shopping! As much as I love hanging out with Tyler, I've gotta tell you that it's not easy trying on clothes when he's along. He usually decides that he's finished shopping right as I walk into a fitting room with an armload of clothes. It's been awhile since I've actually walked around the mall. Usually I only get to scan the clothes at Target when I'm out buying other necessities. Why do all the cute clothes have to cost so much? I didn't get much, but it was fun having girl time with my mom (thanks Mommy!), and I know Tyler and Todd enjoyed all their boy time too.

What a fun weekend.

What playroom? I know about the nursery and guest bedroom. Did you turn the guest bedroom into a playroom? I feel ya on the expensive clothes. The things at Banana Republic are so nice, but $38 for a thin cotton short-sleeved number? Wow weasels.
