More Time

Looks like we won't be closing on our house tomorrow after all. It will be ours a few days longer. We were told that the closing will end up being next week sometime. We still have no definite day on the closing of our new house either. How strange to have no idea where we will be living and when we will be moved! I was reading a blog post written by a friend today. She had been reading James 4:13-16 and wrote it out at the end of her post. It was a wonderful message for me to read at a time like this. Thank you, God, for all the ways you remind us that you are in control and we are not.

“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.” 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil.”

It is kind of nice to be able to let go of my plans and just see what kind of wonderful surprises God has already planned in advance for our family.
