My Happy Mother's Day actually started on Saturday. Nana (who showed up with a beautiful basket of plants and flowers for me :) spent the day with Tyler, and Todd and I went shopping for birthday presents for Tyler's 3rd birthday! This was a great gift to me because I love shopping and spending time with Todd. We even went out to lunch so it felt like a date to me! It was a nice break from all the new baby adjustments we have been making. Allie came along for all the fun, but she pretty much slept the entire time we were out.
Tyler made me a little book filled with stickers. He lovingly placed each one where he wanted it to go. How proud he was to show it off to me on Sunday morning. The funny thing is that he wanted it back the next day because he liked it so much. Todd ended up giving him his own little book and now we have matching ones.
My favorite thing about Mother's Day is that Todd does most of the "mommy chores" for me during the day and I get a nice break. Although, I do think I have the best job in the world, even with all the mommy chores.
