Tyler's Aunt Laura got him a water table for his birthday. It is a perfect toy for beautiful days like these, because it gives us a reason to be outside.
The table is a hit. Tyler filled up his little yellow pitcher and carefully poured it into the reservoir that makes the wheel spin dozens of times. He was being so neat and so careful.
Casey, our dog, thought the table was a giant water bowl and kept sneaking her head in to steal a drink. Tyler would push her away and tell her NO CASEY.
Well, Casey tried to sneak in one too many times and Tyler got fed up. He scooped a full pitcher of water and flung it on the dog. I laughed, so it instantly became a fun new game for Tyler. Instead of carefully keeping the water in the table, he was now flinging it all over the place, trying to get Casey wet. Good thing I went ahead and put his swim trunks on before we started!
It was sad when we had to come in for Tyler's nap, but I have a feeling we'll be using the water table a lot this summer. Thanks for the fun present, Aunt Laura!

We are so happy that he likes it--what cute pictures! I too laughed when you wrote about him flinging water on Casey. Ugh, the smell of wet dog! Hope he continues to have lots of fun with it. Good thing we didn't get one w/ sand or that would be even messier. :)
