I am so excited to go to the pool. I have not been excited about going to the pool since I was in elementary school. Now, I can't wait to go and take Tyler. I can't wait to watch him experience the fun of floating in the water. He is going to love it. I even bought him some itty bitty swimming trunks! The less exciting part about the whole situation is that it requires Mommy to wear a bathing suit. I have not bought a bathing suit since my honeymoon four summers ago. I don't think my honeymoon bikini is very mommy-ish.
I am so excited about taking Tyler swimming that not only am I willing to put on a suit in public, I also stood in line for 75 minutes to have our family's pool ID cards made. Can you believe that they required Tyler to get his own ID? If anyone ever wants to go swimming at my neighborhood pool, you can take Tyler and be his guest. I think that's so funny! I'm not sure I would actually let anyone take my baby to the pool without coming along anyway.
Now I just have to go to the neighborhood association office during the 3 hour window two days a week, pay $10 to get the special gate clicker for getting into the pool, and I will finally be able to take my baby swimming! They sure do make things difficult.
