a boy of many talents

Tyler has been a busy 3-year-old boy, getting funnier and smarter every day.

He has really been into singing, both songs he already knows and songs he makes up all on his own. I have to say that the made up ones are sometimes the best. He will spend a lot of time standing in front of the the bathroom mirror bellowing out his tunes. I will admit that I think he gets this from me. I still love to sing in the bathroom.

It was rodeo day at preschool last week, so all the kids dressed up like little cowboys and cowgirls. Tyler was the cutest one, of course. The school brought in ponies for the special day.

Here's my little cowboy on his horse. Tyler refused to wear his hat for the picture, though.
Go figure.

Tyler was almost as tall as the cute little pony. I loved how it was just his size.

One day, Tyler decided he was going to grow a garden on the couch. He was very proud of his garden and took a lot of care to water it and sing to it. He then let Allie and me choose which flowers we wanted to pick from the garden to take home.

Here he is with his colorful garden on the couch!

And then there was the day he was dressed up for church and decided to play with his vet stuff while he was waiting for the rest of us to get ready. He looked like an very important head surgeon with his tie and his white coat on. What a very handsome boy!

He even used a knife for the first time when he wanted to cut his pancakes like a grown-up. He did a remarkably good job with his knife. Next up, steaks.

And Tyler continues to be a super big brother, always asking if he can play with Allie. There are times when he would rather play by himself, and times when he gets upset because Allie wants to join in on something and he had other plans. But, for the most part, he really enjoys playing with his little sister. They are so much fun to watch.

I just love him to pieces!
