I took Allie to the doctor on Tuesday for her 9 month visit. They were so busy and we ended up being there for almost 2 hours! Tyler was incredibly well behaved during all that waiting. He sat nicely in his chair the whole time.
When it was finally our turn, we found out some new things...
1) height and weight stats:
weight is 9.59 percentile at 16 lbs. 5.8 oz
height is 63.25 percentile at 2' 4''
This is the same length Tyler was at 1 year old!
2) The doctor is concerned about the fact that Allie doesn't want to get on her knees and hasn't tried to pull up on anything yet. Allie really doesn't even stand up and hold on to something if you get her in position. She will usually just collapse and sit back down. The doctor referred her to an intervention service to give us an assessment and teach me some exercises to do with Allie in hopes that she will be more willing to get on her knees and feet. The doctor thinks it may have something to do with her hips, so we will see. I am still waiting to hear back from the people who are supposed to come and check her out.

On a non-doctor visit note, Allie initiated peek-a-boo all her own, both Tuesday and Wednesday. She holds her little blanket up in front of her face and waits for me to ask where she is. Then she laughs and laughs when she pulls it down and Mommy says peek-a-boo! She did this over and over on Tuesday afternoon and it was so fun to watch. Wednesday night she did it again, out of the blue. If I try to get her to play, she won't do it. I guess she has to be in the mood and it has to be her idea. I love the part where she's holding the blanket up and waiting for me to say something. Precious!
Allie LOVES to swing!
Let's not forget about super-cute Tyler!
