Tissue Paper

Yesterday was one of those days when I had some time to kill between appointments. There wasn't enough time to go home in between, so I got the opportunity to leisurely shop for an hour. I decided it would be a good time to use my coupon for the Children's Place and get Tyler some workout pants (he loves how they make swishing noises when he runs). Next door there happened to be an Anne Taylor Loft. I normally avoid this store because I love everything and get depressed when I can't afford to pay $50 for one shirt. Well, it was my lucky day because they were having a really good sale. It was one of those where everything is on sale and then you get to take additional money off of that! Well, I found a couple things that were reasonably priced and I bought them.

My favorite thing about buying clothes at a fancy store is the fact that they delicately wrap each article of clothing in tissue paper. When you get home and take it out of the bag, it's like you get to open a present! You get to savor your special gift of a new shirt even longer as you gently tear off the little sticker that holds the tissue together. It's funny how a couple sheets of tissue paper can make you feel like a princess. It's much more fun than pulling them out of a ball at the bottom of the Wal-Mart bag. It almost makes it worth the extra money.

It's the little things that make my day fun...and Tyler, of course.
