Allie has started waving. Not just a typical wave, but a princess wave, moving her little wrist back and forth. It is perfect that our little princess does such a girlie wave. She started doing it over Thanksgiving with Aunt Alicia and now it's becoming a regular thing!
She has also become quite good at giving fives and making razz noises with her mouth. The only problem with the mouth noises is that it gets pretty messy when she decides to give it a try during meal time.
Allie is such a social butterfly. When we go to the grocery store, she will have entire conversations with people. The thing is, the people don't say anything to me, just Allie. And she loves the attention!
She has been getting more separation anxiety when I drop her off at the church nursery, or even when I leave the room to go to the bathroom or help Tyler with something. She is much happier when she can see me at all times.
Allie has gotten to be a little more enthusiast about eating in her high chair this month. She opens her mouth more quickly than she had been, and can finish her little bowl of food in under 30 minutes now. She's still slow, but at least we're getting better!
Allie's top, right tooth should be in any day now. We can see it just under the surface and there's a big swollen bump right where it's trying to push through. It looks so painful, but Allie has been such a good sport about it.
I'm really looking forward to celebrating Christmas with this little 8 month old bundle of joy. Tyler has already volunteered to help her open her presents "since she won't know how yet." What a kind brother.
It's a lot of fun to watch her play and figure out how things work. She is so interested in everything. Her favorite thing is definitely the bath tub. She loves splashing and playing in the water. I think she would be happy in there all day if I let her. What fun it will be to take her to the pool this summer!
