Thanksgiving
I got to host Thanksgiving dinner at my house for the first time. It was the first year I have had a dining room table, and I was so excited to set it up pretty and serve my family with it. I felt like a little girl playing house. I often get that feeling, but it was especially strong on Thursday. I put on my old apron and made bread from scratch, just like in Little House on the Prarie. I peeled potatoes for the mashed potatoes and Todd carved the turkey. It was the stuff memories are made of. My favorite part was setting the table and putting Tyler's booster chair in one of the seats. He was such a part of the family as he sat around the table with us and ate his dinner. He used very good manners for the most part and he didn't start eating until we finished praying.
On Friday, we packed up the car and headed to Tyler, TX to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Tyler ate up the attention from his grandparents and his two aunts. He got to run around in wide open spaces and play in the fall leaves. Again, he got to eat at the table with everyone else. I wish I had gotten a picture of it. He looks so cute!
It was a very Happy Thanksgiving.

It sounds like you had a lovely time. Fresh baked bread . . . yum! :)
Wow, your Thanksgiving spread sounds impressive! I've only made a turkey once and it was only for daniel and I and not even on a holiday.
oh, and I really like the picture of you and your family on the park bench. I think it is Christmas card worthy!
