This time of year, I find myself thinking about all the teachers who are back into the routine of school after enjoying a couple months of freedom. It makes me happy to be at home. I have enjoyed being a stay-at-home mommy every day since the day I left work. I'm not kidding. I don't take it for granted. I am so thankful that God has provided for us and allowed me to witness little wonders every day. There are days when I am watching Tyler play and I just start crying tears of joy because I love him so much. This happened to my mom in public the last time she spent the day with us! She said that you are just so full of love that you can't keep it all in. I have to agree with her completely.

Today was one of those days that I was thinking how glad I am to be doing what I'm doing. I am so enjoying my little man. We started our first day of Kids in Action classes this morning. It's pretty much just like Gymboree, but it's local instead of being a chain. How fun it was to watch my little man follow the directions the teacher gave. I loved watching him explore and interact. I am so proud.
After a nice nap and a good lunch, we went outside to play with some bowls of water and ice cubes! It was the perfect thing to do on a warm, pretty day. I gave Tyler a big slotted spoon to move the ice cubes back and forth between water bowls, but he liked putting his hands in the cold water instead. Brrrr.

Casey kept stealing our ice cubes!

This water is cold Mommy!

Look at the little Tyler footprint next to the big Casey footprint! Hee hee!
We also played with stickers today. I got the idea from a friend's blog, and a couple of weeks ago I decided to see if Tyler would enjoy peeling stickers off the page and sticking them on the paper. He spends a lot of time choosing the perfect place for each sticker. It's so cute to watch!
Now, he's peacefully napping. I was thinking about what fun he is, and I just had to share. I will take a day like this over working in a school any day. He brings me such joy.

Yay!! I couldn't agree more : )
Amen! I'm with ya.
Ahhhh...I don't miss those days of teaching. I love that God has provided a way for me to stay home with my little one, as well. The joy of watching Micah learn and grow every day just melts my heart.
What a fun idea with the ice cubes...I'll have to try that. I bet my little curious one will really have a blast with it!
We've had a two year old here who has loved peeling off stickers. She put stickers on our dog, on ball, on blocks, etc. It was so much fun to watch!
What great ideas! I am going to have to copy you on the stickers and the ice cubes outside! What a good mommy you are!!! You will have to keep posting ideas like this! You are so creative and I am always looking for something different to do with Grace.
Tyler is so, so, so precious!!!
